A range of animals, from panthers to butterflies to African wild dogs, are on display in the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, set in environments that mimic their native lands. The popular Primate Expedition Cruise is a 20-minute boat ride past islands populated with lemurs, spider monkeys, siamangs and others, while daily demonstrations include talks on feline predators, alligators and other reptiles. In May 2007, Gulfshore Life magazine awarded this zoo the "Best Place to take Kids" in the region. It sits directly east of the Coastland Center mall in Naples, a mile and a half inland from the Gulf of Mexico.
Open daily, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Adults $18.50; Seniors (65+) $17.50; Children (3-12) $9.95; Children 3 are free.
